Made this for dinner tonight because the picture kept making my mouth water. It was sooo good! Might add a touch more cheese next time, but it was delicious and I will definitely be making this again. It was a nice change to my regular meatloaf. Defiantly a keeper- made exactly as directed. Yummy!

This was the best meatloaf. It even beat my moms and that is saying a lot. The cheese was the big hit. The way it mealted into the pan around the edges was to die for. I did not use a loaf pan so I was able to peel the cheese from the pan which was crispy around the edges :-)

I loved this version of an all American classic. Would have been a breeze if I had gotten my ingredients prepped before I started. So toast bread crumbs, chopped onion and parsley, and beat eggs before you start combining.

I am not a meatloaf person but my husband is. We both enjoyed this meal, as did my 1 year old. I used meatloaf mixture (beef/pork/veal) and drained off a lot of the fat as it baked. I think I would try again with ground chicken also. One serving is a nice sized portion. I baked it the night before and then reheated straight from the fridge at 400 degrees for 25 minutes, which gave it the nice carmelized edges - it did not have those at the first baking. I served it with a mixture of mashed yukon golds and sweet potatoes, and a side of steamed corn and peas. Very filling all around!

Fantastic meat loaf! Used ground turkey instead and was delicious.

This meatloaf was extra tasty. We usually do a turkey meatloaf, but we tried the recipe as is and my family truly loved it. The only modification I made was to bake it on a sheet pan in a loaf shape - we like all the extra crunchiness that you get on the surface of the meatloaf. We will definitely be making this again!

Great recipe. Very flavorful. I took another reviewers advice and made a mold instead of using a loaf pan. Very easy and perfect for a work night. Served with mashed potatoes and green beans.

This was good, but I felt it was lacking flavor. I did substitute oats for the bread, so maybe that was it, but next time I would add italian seasoning or oregano to flavor it a bit.

I made this on the fly so I was missing some ingredients. I used crackers for bread, 1% milk for buttermilk, and oregano for parsley. It was amazing. From a family who didn't love meatloaf--we are now converts!

I didn't feel like messing with the bread step, so I just used panko. The family loves it. The buttermilk adds a depth and I love the cheese in it. Just served with some mashed potatoes and a salad for a healthy version of this classic. It's definitely going to be a staple in our house!

Excellent meat loaf. Basically followed directions except we cooked the onions & first mixed everything together except the crumbs & sirloin, to avoid overworking the meat. Formed a free-standing 9x5 loaf rather than using a tin, so it was done a little sooner. Served with CL's roasted cauliflower. Very tasty, comfort food.

This was a great meatloaf recipe and it was even better with the Potato and Root Vegetable Mashers recipe!

I don't consider myself to be a meatloaf person but this was fantastic! Loved the addition of the cheese - so good. Portions are quite ample. My family loved this - especially my 8 year old. Will have to make this again.

I love this recipe! I think the buttermilk must make the difference. I usually put it in a drain meatloaf pan to get extra fat out, but might try the mold way described previously.

Everyone in my family loved this recipe. I didn't have time to make breadcrumbs so I used Italian style breadcrumbs that I had on hand. Added 1T. vinegar to 1 c. milk to make quick buttermilk. We'll definitely make this recipe again. I agree with another poster about prepping ahead of time to make assembly easier.

I think my expectations were a little higher; It smelled so good while I was mixing all the ingredients; the finished product was good, but it didn't knock my socks off.

I was craving comfort food, and based on the reviews, decided to give this a try. No one in my family would eat this -- including me. I thought it was awful as did my husband and kids. Bummer.

Great taste. Second time added tablespoon of chili powder. Lingering garlic taste is great. The first was firm and I sliced it and froze in slices. They reheated great. Second time couldn't find ground sirloin got 85% ground chuck. Bad idea. Very loose but taste was good.
