Alex's Fave Chocolate Drop Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup(s) butter softened
  • 1 cup(s) sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate melted & cooled
  • 1/3 cup(s) milk w/1 T lemon juice added
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • 1-3/4 cup(s) flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt

Preparation

Mix butter, sugar, egg and chocolate thoroughly. Stir in milk/lemon juice mixture and vanilla. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, soda, and salt, then blend into creamed mixture. Chill 1 hour. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Drop rounded teasonfuls of dough about 2" apart on ungreased non-stick baking sheet. Bake 8-9 min. Frost with chocolate frosting.
