Alabama Pecan Pie

Yield one 9-inch pie


  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 unbaked (9-inch) pastry shell
  • 3/4 cup pecan halves

How to Make It

  1. Combine sugar and flour in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs, syrup, and butter; beat well. Stir in chopped pecans. Pour mixture into pastry shell. Arrange pecan halves on top of pie. Bake at 350° for 55 minutes or until set.
