Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 3/4 to 1 cup cold water

Preparation

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle water over flour mixture; stir with a fork until dry ingredients are moistened. Shape dough into a ball, and wrap in waxed paper; chill at least 1 hour or until ready to use.
