You'll be surprised at the yummy and filling dishes that you can make start-to-finish without heating up the kitchen. Mix the ingredients, press start, and enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the timer countdown to dinner time.
Mediterranean Chicken CouscousThe preparation for this no-bake favorite calls for a single glass bowl. Heat the broth, then add couscous and let it stand about five minutes. Fluff and stir in cooked chicken, basil, feta, tomatoes, lemon zest and lemon juice, for added flavor. It's a hearty one-dish dinner perfect for busy weeknights.
Asian FlounderCooking fish in the microwave is easier than it sounds–just pay attention to your technique. The food on the outside of the plate cooks faster, so we've remedied that by folding the fish toward the center. That ensures that every bite will be as moist and tender as the next.
Speedy LasagnaNo-cook lasagna noodles are life-savers in our book, but this recipe offers more shortcuts than that. Cook sausage in the microwave, then mix with sauce and basil and layer with the no-cook noodles. Double-thickness plastic wrap seals in heat while this Italian dish cooks in the microwave.
Quick Breakfast TostadaCook eggs in the microwave with a little milk, then plate on tortillas and top with cheese, black beans, and green onions. Heat the all-in-one breakfast for about 30 seconds–long enough for the edges of the tortilla to curl up slightly and crisp.

Fake bake the potatoes, then remove their pulp and mix it with sour cream and cheese. Refill the potato skins and top with caramelized onions. Top with extra cheese and microwave for 1 minute more to seal in the melty-good flavor.
Braided SalmonIf you're really in a rush, omit the braiding instructions for this fish dish. However, we think that when you find out that combined cook and rest time is only six minutes, you'll feel like you've got a few minutes to spare.
Soft Chicken TacosPick up a rotisserie chicken to make this Tex-Mex dish in a hurry. Load the tortillas with chicken, cilantro, and salsa, then heat for about 30 seconds to blend the flavors and soften the shell. Top with cheese, avocado, diced tomatoes, and sour cream for a do-it-yourself meal in no time.
Ham and Cheese Hash BrownsBring the best of breakfast's comfort food recipesto the dinner table with a cheesy potato dish packed with leftover ham.
