Whoopi Goldberg Breaks New Ground with Cannabis Business

Whoopi Goldberg is getting into the edibles business. The View co-host's new venture, Whoopi & Maya, is a line of products geared towards women for menstrual pains and includes raw sipping cacao, body balm, bath salt soaks, and a tincture for drinks or under the tongue.

Pairing up with Maya Elisabeth, a reputable creator of medical cannabis products and the winner of seven High Times Cannabis Cup awards, Goldberg was inspired to make this line because of her adult granddaughters suffering from intense cramps.

Keeping with the female empowerment theme, their cannabis is all sourced from an all-women run medical marijuana farm located in Northern California.

Goldberg, a former smoker herself, used to recommend just smoking a joint but is now interested in making a product that can soothe cramps while not having any mental affect on the user.  All of their bath-centric products will allow users to gain the benefits of the cannabis without the associated side effects.

On the edible part of their line, Savor (raw sipping cacao for hot chocolate) is available in both THC (psychoactive) and CBD (non-psychoactive) versions. Relax, the THC infused tincture, isn't available in a CBD version.

Whoopi & Maya plan to have their products available in select parts of California by April.
