My new favorite came way of the DH, when he picked up Sharp American Land O Lakes pre-sliced cheese at the store last week. At my first melting, it was a hit. It's a Cheddar/American hybrid with all the sharpness of Cheddar with the creamy goodness of American. I tried it with macaroni with absolute success--didn't even have to add milk.
So the next time you're at the store, trying to decide between the myriad of cheese options ... mild cheddar, sharp cheddar, finely shredded cheddar, low-fat cheddar ... give Sharp American a try. Wins my vote.
