If you took all your favorite things about fall and bakedthem into one recipe, I believe you’d get this Upside Down Pear and Apple Tart.Its gingery, buttery, juicy, awesomeness is the season incarnate. The applesand pears, at the peak of their season, are the heart of the matter. I suggestafter flipping the tart over to try topping with a little brown sugar andputting under the broiler to give everything a nice caramel color. Skip the icecream and pair with a nice Sauternes. Amazing.
