The fried rice can stand along as a one-dish meal; however, if you desire a crunchy side, a quick toss of snow peas with soy sauce and sesame oil fills the bill. You can even stir the snow peas into the fried rice. (Serves 6)
• Sesame-Soy Snow Peas Steam 4 cups trimmed snow peas 2 minutes or until crisp-tender. Combine 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce, 1 tablespoon dark sesame oil, and 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper in a large bowl. Add snow peas; toss to coat.
