Whole Wheat Honey Bread

1 cup milk
1/2 cup honey
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt


Combine milk, honey, egg, and butter; beat well.

Sift together dry ingredients in a large bowl; add milk mixture, stirring well.

Spoon batter into a greased 7 1/2- x 3- x 2-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan, and cool on wire rack.
