Vietnamese Dipping Sauce is as versatile as it is good. Serve this dipping sauce with rice rolls, over salads, or with Vietnamese Barbecue Tacos.
Makes 1 cup

1/2 cup water
1/4 cup fish sauce
1/4 cup white vinegar
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 serrano pepper or Thai chile pepper, sliced and seeded
Stir together water, fish sauce, vinegar, sugar, lime juice, garlic, and serrano pepper in a medium bowl. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator up to 1 week.
