Tomato Juice Salad

1 clove garlic
1 (24-ounce) can tomato juice
4 medium tomatoes, unpeeled and chopped
8 finely chopped green onions
2 cucumbers, peeled and finely chopped
1 cup finely chopped celery
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon salt
Dash of pepper


Rub a large glass or ceramic bowl with garlic clove; discard garlic. Place remaining ingredients in bowl, mixing well. Cover tightly, and chill overnight. Serve in individual bowls.
