12 ears fresh corn, cleaned and kernels scraped from cob
1/4 cup water
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Combine corn and water in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 20 minutes; stir frequently.
