Tangy Coffee Barbecue Sauce

This zesty condiment is great with grilled steaks, pork, or chicken. Refrigerate extra up to a week.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup no-salt-added ketchup
  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lower-sodium soy sauce

Preparation

Total: 15 Minutes

  1. Combine ketchup, coffee, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, and chili powder in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in pepper, balsamic vinegar, and soy sauce.
