Sweet Potatoes And Apples

3 small sweet potatoes
3 large apples, sliced
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/4 cup water


Cook potatoes in boiling water to cover 20 minutes or until tender; cool to touch. Peel and slice potatoes. Arrange potato and apple slices in a 2-quart baking dish.

Combine sugar, butter, and 1/4 cup water; pour over potato and apple.

Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, basting after 20 minutes.
