Sweet Herb Butter

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 tablespoons minced fresh lemon balm or lemon verbena
1 tablespoon strawberry jam or marmalade
Grated zest of 1 lemon
1 tablespoon brandy (optional)
2 tablespoons toasted almonds or pecans


To make the butter, combine all ingredients in a bowl; mix well. Chill thoroughly. Package in an airtight container.
