Summer Squash And Onions

Ingredients

3 tablespoons bacon drippings
3 small onions, chopped
2 pounds yellow squash, cut into 1/4-inch thick slices
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

Heat bacon drippings in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion, and sauté until tender but not brown. Add squash, water, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until squash is tender.
