1 small stick cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon whole cloves
1/2 (8-ounce) package dried prunes
1/2 (8-ounce) package dried apples
1/2 (6-ounce) package dried apricots
3 cups water
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar


Place cinnamon and cloves in a cheesecloth bag; tie bag, and place in a saucepan. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 30 minutes. Cool slightly; discard spice bag. Serve warm.
