Steak Butter

1/2 cup

1/2 clove garlic
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon minced chives
1/4 teaspoon ground savory
1/4 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon ground marjoram
1/4 teaspoon hickory salt
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Dash of hot sauce


Rub inside of bowl with garlic; discard garlic. Add butter; beat until light and fluffy. Add remaining ingredients, mixing well. Store in a covered container in refrigerator until ready to use. Serve Steak Butter at room temperature on hot steak.
