Spinach Au Gratin

3 pounds fresh spinach, cleaned and cooked
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons whipping cream
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup buttered breadcrumbs


Combine spinach, cheese, onion, whipping cream, butter, salt, and pepper; stir well. Spoon into a 1-quart casserole. Top with breadcrumbs. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes or until browned.
