Spiced Cranberry Cider

1 quart apple cider
3 cups cranberry juice drink
2 to 3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks
3/4 teaspoon whole cloves
1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
Garnish: cinnamon sticks


Bring first 6 ingredients to a boil in a Dutch oven, stirring often; reduce heat, and simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Remove spices and lemon. Garnish, if desired.
