Sour Cream Dressing

1 1/3 cups

1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Dash of paprika
1 (8-ounce) carton commercial sour cream


Combine all ingredients except sour cream in top of double boiler, stirring well. Bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring gently, until thickened. Cool slightly, and add sour cream; stir well. Chill.
