This rub of ancho chili powder, garlic salt, brown sugar, and cumin on Seasoned Strip Steaks will awaken the taste buds.
Makes 4 servings

2 tablespoons ancho chile powder
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
2 teaspoons garlic salt
2 teaspoons ground cumin
4 (9- to 10-ounce) strip steaks, about 1 1/4 inches thick


Prep: 10 Minutes
Grill: 10 Minutes
Stand: 5 Minutes

1. Preheat grill to high heat (450° to 550°). Combine first 4 ingredients. Rub steaks evenly with seasoning blend.

2. Grill steaks, covered with grill lid, 5 minutes on each side (for medium-rare) or until desired degree of doneness. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
