Sauteed White Corn

1/4 cup butter or margarine
12 ears fresh white corn, cleaned and kernels cut from cob
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper


Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add remaining ingredients. Cover; cook over low heat 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover; cook an additional 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
