Sauteed Green Beans

5 slices bacon
2 pounds fresh green beans, snapped
1 medium onion, chopped


Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp; drain on paper towels. Crumble and set aside; reserve drippings in skillet.

Place crumbled bacon, beans, and onion in reserved drippings. Cook over medium heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 40 minutes or until tender.
