Sausage With Apples

4 (1/2-pound) fresh Country sausage links
4 medium-size cooking apples, cored and thinly sliced
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

Preparation

Place sausage links on rack in A broiler pan. Place 6 to 7 inches from heating element, and broil for 2 to 3 minutes or until sausage links are lightly browned. Reduce heat to 350°, and bake an additional 10 minutes.

Arrange apple slices around sausage links on broiler rack; sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake 15 minutes or until apples are tender.
