Sauerkraut Stuffing

8 cups (or enough to stuff one 11- pound turkey)

4 cups chopped sauerkraut
2 cooking apples, cored and cut into 1/4-inch slices
4 slices bacon, diced


Combine sauerkraut, apples, and bacon in a large Dutch oven; mix well. Cook over medium heat 20 minutes or until apples are tender.

Spoon stuffing into a lightly greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
