Salsa Ranchera

Serve with low-fat tortilla chips, grilled meat, or poultry. This is the most traditional salsa, no doubt because it goes so well with almost anything.

1/3 cup chopped green onions
2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons canned chopped green chiles
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon minced seeded jalapeño pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
Dash of ground cumin
