Red Cabbage and Pears

1 medium head red cabbage, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 Bartlett pears
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Cook: 1 Hours

1. Cook cabbage and onion in hot oil in a large nonstick skillet or Dutch oven over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, peel and chop pears; toss with lemon juice. Stir pear mixture, sugar, salt, and pepper into cabbage mixture. Cook, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes.
