Prune Filling

3/4 cup

1 cup dried prunes, chopped
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


Combine first 3 ingredients in a saucepan; stir. Cover; cook over medium heat until liquid is absorbed and prunes are tender. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla.
