Combine cornmeal and salt; add water, stirring constantly until well blended; cool.
Combine eggs and milk; add to cornmeal mixture, stirring gently until smooth. Stir in baking powder, butter, and chicken. Pour into a well greased 1-quart casserole; bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes.
Note: Two cups chopped cooked turkey may be substituted for chicken.
