Peppery Barbecue Sauce

Makes 6 cups

Ingredients

2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons pepper
1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
4 garlic cloves, minced
4 cups ketchup
1 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons hot sauce

Preparation

Stir together all ingredients. Pour into hot sterilized jars, and seal. Store in refrigerator up to 1 month.
