Ozark Sorghum-Molasses Pie

1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sorghum
1/2 cup molasses
3 eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1 unbaked (9-inch) pastry shell
Ground nutmeg


Combine sugar, flour, sorghum, molasses, eggs, butter, and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl; beat well. Stir in pecans, if desired. Pour filling into pastry shell; sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Cool before slicing.
