3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon salt
3/4 teaspoon pepper
3 (3- to 3 1/2-pound) broiler-fryers, cut-up
3 cups milk
Combine flour, salt, and pepper; mix well. Dip chicken, a few pieces at a time, in milk; dredge in flour mixture.
Heat 1 inch of oil in a large skillet to 375°; add chicken, and fry 25 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
