Mustard Sauce

Makes 1 cup

1 tablespoon butter or margarine
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup water
2 egg yolks
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1 teaspoon salt
Hot cooked pasta
Chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add garlic, and saute 2 to 3 minutes.

Whisk together whipping cream and next 6 ingredients. Add to skillet; cook, stirring constantly, 2 to 3 minutes or until thickened. Toss with pasta. Sprinkle with parsley, if desired.

Note: For testing purposes only, we used French's classic yellow mustard.
