Mushroom Sauce

1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 cup Basic Brown Sauce
1/4 cup sherry
1 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped green onion
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper


Sauté mushrooms in butter until tender; add Basic Brown Sauce, sherry, onion, salt, and pepper, stirring well. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Serve hot with roast beef or steak.
