2 teaspoons sugar
10 small mint leaves
1/4 cup white rum
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 (6-ounce) bottle club soda, chilled
1 mint sprig (optional)


Place sugar and mint in a tall glass; crush with the back of a long spoon. Fill glass with crushed ice. Add rum, juice, and club soda. Garnish with mint sprig, if desired.
