Mini Sweet-and-Sour Sloppy Joes

Because these are child-size portions, adults may choose to eat two sandwiches.
Makes 12 sandwiches (serving size: 1 sandwich)

1 1/2 pounds extra-lean ground beef
Vegetable cooking spray
1 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
3 (8-oz.) cans basil, garlic, and oregano tomato sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (13.9-oz.) package dinner rolls, toasted

Cook: 50 Minutes

1. Cook ground beef in a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat 10 minutes or until beef crumbles and is no longer pink. Remove meat from skillet, and drain well.

2. Sauté onion and bell pepper in skillet 5 minutes or until tender. Return meat to skillet; stir in tomato sauce and next 5 ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes. Spoon mixture evenly into toasted dinner rolls, and serve immediately.

Note: For testing purposes only, we used Pepperidge Farm Soft Dinner Rolls Country Style. They're about the size of a baseball.
