4 onions, chopped
4 stalks celery, chopped
2 green peppers, seeded and chopped
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 cup vegetable oil
4 (14 1/2-ounce) cans tomatoes, undrained and chopped
1 quart water
6 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
2 pounds marlin fillets, cut into bite-size pieces


Sauté onion, celery, green pepper, and crushed garlic in oil in a large Dutch oven until tender. Add tomatoes; simmer, uncovered, 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add remaining ingredients, except fish; simmer 1 hour or until potatoes are tender. Add fish; simmer 5 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
