Cook sausage, onions and peppers in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until sausage is finely crumbled and no longer pink. Add tomato sauce; cover and cook 1 minute more. Stir in chili sauce and Worcestershire; Remove from heat; season to taste with hot pepper sauce, if desired. Spoon mixture onto bun bottoms; sprinkle with cheese if desired. Add bun tops; serve warm.
