Icy Tropical Fruit Float

The carambola and grapes will not freeze solid, but they become icy, making this a refreshing hot weather dessert.

Ingredients

1 carambola (star fruit), cut crosswise into thin slices
24 seedless red grapes
1 cup pineapple sherbet
1 cup gingerale, chilled

Preparation

Divide carambola and grapes evenly among 4 tall glasses. Place in freezer until ready to serve.

To serve, spoon 1/4 cup sherbet on top of fruit in each glass. Pour 1/4 cup gingerale over each serving, and serve immediately.
