Soak figs overnight in brandy. Drain; discard brandy. Make a small hole at the round end of each fig, using a small knife.
Break each walnut half into 2 pieces. Insert 2 pieces walnut and 2 raisins into each fig to seal hole.
Roll each stuffed fig in sugar, and place upright on a wire rack. Allow figs to stand, uncovered, overnight to dry completely.
