Green Peas with Pimiento

There's no need to thaw the peas before you start the recipe. Just put the frozen peas directly into the hot pan with the other ingredients.

1 tablespoon light stick butter
2 tablespoons slivered almonds
2 1/4 cups frozen petite green peas
1 (4-ounce) jar diced pimiento, drained
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add almonds; cook 2 minutes or until toasted, stirring frequently. Add peas and remaining ingredients; cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
