Grapefruit-Avocado Salad

4 medium-size ripe avocados, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
4 medium-size pink grapefruits, peeled and sectioned
Leaf lettuce
Green or red maraschino cherries (optional)


Sprinkle avocado slices with lemon juice; toss well. Arrange avocado and grapefruit slices on lettuce leaves. Cover and chill 2 to 3 hours. Serve with French Dressing. Garnish with green or red maraschino cherries, if desired.
