Fruit Punch With Ice Ring

Ingredients

1 (46-ounce) can unsweetened orange juice
1 quart unsweetened pineapple juice
1 1/2 cups lemon juice
1 orange, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 (6-ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained
3 quarts water
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 quarts ginger ale

Preparation

Combine orange, pineapple, and lemon juice in a large container, stirring well. Pour 1 quart fruit juice mixture into a 6-cup ring mold, reserving remaining juice mixture. Arrange orange slices, lemon slices, and cherries attractively in mold. Freeze until ready to serve.

Combine water and sugar in a large mixing bowl, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add to reserved fruit juice mixture, stirring well. Chill thoroughly.

Pour chilled juice mixture over prepared ice ring in a large punch bowl; add ginger ale just before serving. Serve immediately.
