4 pounds fresh green peas
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Shell and wash peas. Place in medium saucepan, and add boiling water to cover. Cover, and cook over medium heat 10 to 12 minutes or until peas are tender.
Add butter, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to peas, stirring well.
