French Toast Custard

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
1 1/2 cups milk
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons dark rum (optional)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a shallow bowl; stir well with a wire whisk.
