Dill-and-Almond Green Beans

Not a huge dill lover? Substitute fresh basil or flat-leaf parsley.

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

Prep: 10 Minutes
Cook: 15 Minutes

Cook beans in boiling water to cover in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat 10 minutes. Plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process; drain.

Sauté almonds in hot oil in a large skillet over medium heat 3 minutes or until lightly browned. Add garlic; sauté 30 seconds. Stir in green beans, dill, salt, and pepper; cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Serve immediately.
