Crock Pot Chili


A mild chili using my own blend of chili spices (found here as "Val's Chili mix). Any ground meat works; I like to use 1/2 turkey and 1/2 sausage MAKES 8-12 servings.

1 bottle beer
2 cans black beans
2 stalks celery
6 tablespoons Chili Mix
1 can corn
2 cans diced tomatos
1 can garbanzo beans
5 cloves garlic
2 green bell pepper
2 pounds ground meat
2 onion
2 cans red beans
2 cans tomato sauce


Prep: 20 Minutes
Cook: 8 Hours

Saute chopped onion, pepper, celery and garlic in 3T olive oil. Stir in 3T mix and heat enough to bloom the spices. Add to Crock pot. Without rinsing pan, brown the meat. Drain and add to pot. Add all canned ingredients & beer. Cook 8 hrs on low.
