1/2 cup butter, softened
1 (8-oz.) package cream cheese, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Beat butter and softened cream cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, beating at low speed until blended. Increase speed to medium-high; beat 1 to 2 minutes or until fluffy.
